ArcGIS Pro Training

SPGA in collaboration with the GOS-GEF-UNDP Ridge to Reef Project, carried out a 1-week online ArcGIS Pro Training. The Training which was conducted by representatives of the College of Esri based in South Africa, took place at the SPGA Headquarters, Orion Mall.

ArcGIS Pro is a full-featured professional desktop GIS application. Which allows users to explore, visualize, and analyze data; create 2D maps and 3D scenes; and share works to the ArcGIS Online or the ArcGIS Enterprise portal. SPGA further invited partner organisations who would similarly benefit from the GIS training. These included personnel from the Ministry of Lands and Housing(MLH), Seychelles Fishing Authority(SFA), Department of Climate Change, Department of Agriculture and the Department of Environment. SPGA continues to provide up to date resources, technologies and platforms which enhances the staff’s knowledge and skills in the management of protected areas.
