Seychelles Commercial Bank Adopts the Copolia Trail
In a short ceremony coinciding with the International Day of Forests on Thursday 21st March, under the theme “Forests and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World”, the Seychelles Commercial Bank (SCB), officially adopted the famous Copolia Nature Trail.
During their respective addresses, CEO Allen Cedras and CEO Annie Vidot of SCB jointly expressed the importance of collaboration in our efforts to sustainably manage and protect our forests, especially within protected areas. The adoption will see the active participation and contribution of SCB in the upkeep of the Trail which is well-loved by nature enthusiasts.
The Copolia Trail is an exquisite hiking trail that attracts numerous local and international visitors. The partnership aims to maintain the trail's natural beauty and help safeguard its ecosystem for future generations. By embracing this collaboration, SCB has demonstrated a significant commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability, a crucial aspect of corporate social responsibility. For both organizations, this is a notable step towards emphasizing the importance of safeguarding natural resources and ecosystems for the benefit of the environment and society.
In celebration of the partnership, a select group of staff members from both organizations volunteered to partake in a hike up the trail, where they discovered the many endemic species along the trek and also painted the kiosk at the summit that serves as a place of respite for hikers before they journey back down.
