World Ranger Congress 2024

The International Ranger Federation, (IRF), World Ranger Congress convenes rangers from across the globe dedicated to the protection and conservation of natural, cultural, and historical sites.
This year's event took place in Hyères, France, focusing on topics of mutual interest and concern in an international networking and professional development setting.

CEO Allen Cedras represented the Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority (SPGA) and delivered a presentation on a case study highlighting the benefits of the Western Indian Ocean-Certification of Marine Protected Area Professionals ( WIO-COMPAS) in Seychelles.

SPGA is proud to announce that it now has eight certified Marine Protected Area Professionals: Allen Cedras, Remie Asman, Anto Suzette, Jason Bastille, Damien Mougal, Rolland Quatre, Shazelle Julie, and Stanio Jean. This significant achievement, accomplished over the past three years, brings numerous benefits, including increased job satisfaction, improved conservation outcomes, and enhanced respect within the conservation community.
